4. UEX Marketplace Terms
UEX is an independent, fan-made platform created by players for players. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Cloud Imperium Games (CIG), Roberts Space Industries, or the Star Citizen project in any way. UEX exists solely to facilitate in-game, player-to-player interactions and listings within the Star Citizen universe. UEX is not responsible for the outcome of any user-to-user transaction.
By using the UEX Marketplace, I agree to the following terms:
4.1 General Use Terms
4.1.1 In-Game Transactions Only:
All trades must be strictly limited to in-game items or services and conducted using in-game currency (aUEC and, eventually, UEC). The use of real-world money, services, or third-party payment methods is strictly prohibited.
4.1.2 Prohibited Content:
Listings must not include or promote harassment, griefing, illegal activity, or anything that violates the spirit or rules of Star Citizen. Offensive or inappropriate content will be removed at UEX’s discretion.
4.1.3 Real-World Value References:
Listings may not include or imply any reference to real-world currency (e.g., USD, EUR) or external marketplaces such as the CIG Pledge Store. Violations may result in content removal.
4.1.4 Platform Role:
UEX is a neutral platform that connects players. UEX does not guarantee the quality, availability, delivery, or legitimacy of any item or service listed. All users trade at their own risk.
4.2 Seller Responsibilities
4.2.1 Truthful Representation:
Sellers must provide honest and accurate information in their listings. Misleading details or bait-and-switch practices are prohibited.
4.2.2 Image Guidelines:
All uploaded images must be relevant, appropriate, and either owned by the seller or used with permission. UEX reserves the right to remove images or listings that violate these rules.
4.2.3 Item Legitimacy:
Sellers may only offer items or services obtained through legitimate, in-game means. Items acquired via exploits, glitches, or third-party tools are strictly prohibited.
4.2.4 Client Conduct:
Sellers must treat buyers with respect. Dishonest, offensive, or unethical behavior may result in account suspension or removal from the platform.
4.2.5 Accountability:
Sellers are solely responsible for the content of their listings. Repeated complaints or violations may lead to the loss of posting privileges.
4.3 Buyer Responsibilities
4.3.1 Honest Conduct:
Buyers are expected to engage in trades fairly and respectfully. Scamming, provocation, or abusive behavior toward sellers will not be tolerated.
4.3.2 Trade Risk Acknowledgment:
Buyers acknowledge that UEX cannot guarantee the success, delivery, or quality of any transaction. All trades are user-to-user and performed at each party’s own risk.
Using the UEX Marketplace means you accept both these Marketplace terms and the main UEX Terms of Service.
